Dr Alice Wilder
Within the global education community, the mention of Dr Alice Wilder’s name will be followed with nods of approval and words of praise. An educational psychologist by training, Dr Alice is famous for pioneering many innovative and creative educational programmes for children.Dr Alice has worked in many edu-organisations like the BBC, National Geographic Kids, Amazon Kids Original Programming, Speakaboos and PBS. Her most famous work however, is a highly-rated Nickelodeon show called Blue’s Clues, that teaches children essential problem solving skills in a fun and relatable way.
Jaul Anak Bunyau
If you were presented a map of Malaysia and asked to point out the district of Ulu Lubai, Sarawak, would you be able to do it? Fortunately, the rural location of SK Ulu Lubai did not prevent headteacher Jaul Anak Bunyau from building a bright future for his students.Through perseverance, dedication and great leadership, Jaul Bunyau has led his school to greater heights, putting it in the nation’s 54 highest performing schools. In 2011, it SK Ulu Lubai was awarded the title “Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi (SBT) Kohort Dua by our Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin.

This gentleman has made learning his life-long passion, and is experienced in fields of learning, brain development and nurturing high-performing cultures in schools.The L2 Approach, a hands-on practical training process that develops independent thinkers is the brainchild of Alistair Smith. The L2 Approach has seen tremendous success and is adopted in over 1,000 schools. Alistair also originated the 5 R’s of great learning and developed the KASE method of curriculum planning.
Julia Immonen
Julia Immonen, founder of Sport for Freedom, is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm. Passionate in fighting the horrors of human trafficking, Julia once rowed 45 days across the Atlantic Ocean to shed more light on this international issue. Her organisation, Sport for Freedom, has conducted many activities in schools across the UK.She believes that learning happens not just through academic means. Sometimes students can gain knowledge and a different perspective when they are invested in a cause they care about!
